Extreme Amazon: bush crafts and survival

5 days/4 nights in Colombia and Peru
Day 1 - Day of arrival

Welcome at the arrival location in Leticia, Tabatinga or Santa Rosa (airport or river port); hotel check in and lunch. If needed, immigration process. A visit to some local attractions in and around Leticia, like the Museum of Ethnology and the park of the parrots. Time for preparation. Dinner.

Optional: Folkloric Brazilian dance. Included for groups from 11 pax.
Day 2 - Marasha Natural Reserve and Lodge (Peru)

Breakfast and departure by boat to Marasha. This trip will last 30 minutes up the Amazon River and 1 hour walk to the hotel. Arrival at the lodge. After check in followed by a talk about the jungle and lunch, canoeing and fishing on the Marasha Lake, and a walk in the jungle. Return to the lodge and dinner. After dinner, a night boat trip looking out for caimans. Return to the lodge.

Day 3 - Amazon River and San Martín

Departure before sunrise by canoe looking out for birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Back to the river walking and departure by boat up the Amazon River and the Amacayacu River to the Ticuna indigenous community of San Martín de Amacayacu. Lunch, a visit to the community, some handcrafters workshops and to a chagra, the traditional farm of the Amazon. Dinner and lodging in hammocks.

Day 4 - Puerto Nariño

Breakfast and departure by boat up the river. A visit to the Tarapoto Lake looking out for the Amazon dolphins, arrival at Puerto Nariño, check in and lunch, A visit to the town and the Natütama Foundation Museum. Dinner.

Day 5 - Departure day

Breakfast and departure by boat to Leticia. Free time. If needed, immigration process. Transfer to the departure location in Leticia, Tabatinga or Santa Rosa (airport or river port).

Optional day - The Huitoto Maloca and kayaking

Breakfast and departure by car or minibus to the Huitoto Maloca, where the coca and tobacco rituals can be seen. Kayaking (depending on the season) or walking through the jungle to La Arenosa restaurant on the Yahuarcaca Creek for lunch and swimming. Return to Leticia by car or minibus. Free time and dinner.

Optional: Ethnic Huitoto dance. Included for groups from 11 pax.
